We’ve been waiting for news about Britney Spears’ new album for quite some time, so when she gave fans who pre-ordered her upcoming album, called Glory, a sneak peek of  her song “Private Show,” it was quite a treat.

During her incredible Tumblr Q&A, Spears mentioned that the new album was definitely a bit different, noting that her and her team “really explored new things.” And, you can hear it all in “Private Show,” which takes her vocal skills to a completely different level.

It’s completely different from Britney hits of the past, but we love how much she’s growing and experimenting with her talent. Never before has Spears been so soulful. Glory marks the first studio album that Britney has released since 2013’s Britney Jean, so it’s great that she took the time to craft completely new material.

The track was produced by Young Fyre, and co-written by Carla Marie, who has previously helped write music for the group Girls Aloud. The full album, released by RCA, will be available on August 26th on Apple Music.

We’re so glad that Spears is continuing to do what she loves, while really challenging herself to take her incredible talents to the next level!
