There's now a two-week-long Harry Potter film festival, and where's our floo powder?
Harry Potter fans already know that he’s the greatest wizard of all time. And, with the colorful magical worlds in the books and movies, there’s never a shortage of things to be excited about. But now, luckily for us Muggles, we can add another thing to add to that list.
A Harry Potter film festival exists.
And we love everything about it
Starting yesterday and continuing through March 2, the Row House Cinema and Bierport in Pittsburg, PA transformed itself into Hogwarts and Hogsmeade. They included themed decorations, drinks, and snacks. And, of course, all the Harry Potter movies!
It looks totally fun. And all the staff clearly enjoy getting into the Harry Potter spirit.
The idea for the festival came after cinema owner bought all eight of the movies on Blu-Ray. And his employees became super excited about the purchase. They wanted to screen all the movies in the theater. Initially, the group considered holding a straight marathon. But, they opted for a full festival.
And the rest, as they say, is history. Or maybe it’s technically the present because it’s happening right now. We need a Time-Turner to help us sort this all out.
Unfortunately for anyone hoping to get involved in this amazingness, tickets for the movies sold out within hours.
That popularity just goes to show that you should never underestimate the Griffyndor-level-loyalty of Harry Potter fans! And even though we may not be able to see the movies, we’re delighted that something like this exists.
