Just because Halloween is over doesn’t mean we have to stop fueling our fears by watching horror movies and visiting haunted locations. In fact, if you’re looking watch monsters on the silver screen in a haunted location you’re in luck, because the hotel from The Shining is hosting a horror movie festival in April 2017.

The terrifying Oregon-based Timberline Lodge that provided the setting for the traumatic horrors of Stanley Kubrick’s The Shining is making plans to provide viewers with ample nightmare fuel at their very first Overlook Film Festival which takes place in April 2017.

The four-day long festival in the hotel will start on April 27th and will include a wide variety of contemporary and classic horror films, as well as a live recording of the audio series Tales From Beyond the Pale.

Do you already feel your spine tingling just thinking about watching scary movies in The Shining hotel? Because we do.

Never forget.

While the details of the festival (including the pricing) are still being fleshed out, one thing is for sure: no one can call you a wimp after you’ve slept soundly in The Shining hotel.

But really, if we’re going to scare ourselves, why not go all the way? One woman’s nightmare is another woman’s dream film festival.
