Ryan Reynolds just shared the new "Deadpool" teaser and, uh, things don't exactly go according to plan
When we first heard that there was a Deadpool 2 teaser premiering before Logan, we knew we had to make it to the theater immediately. Not just because Logan looks incredible, but also because ever since we saw the foul-mouthed, fourth-wall-breaking superhero film last year, we’ve been psyched about the prospect of a sequel. Especially if it includes Hugh Jackman like Ryan Reynolds is campaigning for.
If you haven’t gotten the chance to hit the theaters, though, we’ve got some pretty good news. You can now watch the new Deadpool teaser from the comfort of your own home.
The superhero star — and number one Deadpool fan — Ryan Reynolds just shared the clip on his YouTube channel and personal Twitter.
In the clip, Wade Wilson stumbles across a crime taking place and resolves to handle it himself. But turns out that whole changing into your super suit in a phone booth thing is a lot more complicated than it seems.
Check out the whole teaser below.
“If I’m being honest with myself, I probably should’ve just called 911,” he admits near the end of the clip.
Yikes. That’s not how that sort of save usually turns out, huh?
There are a lot of really fun things to catch in the clip, though — like the fact that Logan is the only film playing in the theater that Wade walks past. And, of course, there’s Ryan Reynolds’ very naked butt.
According to Variety, the Deadpool 2 teaser isn’t actually a trailer for the superhero sequel. Rumor has it that the clip is instead a cut scene from the first film, which makes sense considering how far out the second movie’s release date is.
The Ryan Reynolds-helmed flick isn’t scheduled to show until March 2, 2018.
That’s almost a full year from now. But, if it’s anything like the first, it’ll be awesome. Especially now that John Wick co-director David Leitch is set to direct.
We can’t wait to see it.
