Did you ever think you’d see the Iron Giant and the DeLorean together in a Steven Spielberg movie? Yeah, me neither. But, it’s happening, and it’s happening soon in the director’s latest movie, Ready Player One.

The first trailer for Spielberg’s upcoming (return) to sci-fi just screened at Hall H at Comic-Con, and it is something else. From the first look at it, it’s like 50% sci-fi, 25% action/adventure, 15% a straight up video game, and 10% a total nostalgia trip. It’s everything we could ever want in a movie, TBH.

The story of Ready Player One is set in the future where virtual reality is a way of life. When the creator of one of these virtual realities, The Oasis, dies, one player — Wade, played by Tye Sheridan — is determined to find all the Easter eggs left behind. If he can do so before anyone else, he’ll be given full control of the game. Of course there’s a bad guy (Rogue One’s Ben Mendelsohn) trying to finish the hunt before everyone else, who wants the virtual reality for himself, and his own profit. Of course.

And, since this is set in a totally fake reality, that means that so many different parts of pop culture can come together and help Wade find all the easter eggs and win the game (and all the glory). This quick trailer alone shows us the animated Iron Giant, Back to the Future’s DeLorean, a few Lord of the Rings Characters, and Freddy Kruger. This whole movie is like a giant Easter egg.

Ready Player One hits theaters on March 30th, 2018.
