It’s morphin’ time! Your first look at the new Power Rangers movie is finally here and the trailer is giving us major childhood flashbacks.

Who knew that a bunch of misfits bonded by having to do Saturday school would lead to teenage superheroes? Well, that’s pretty much exactly what happens in the upcoming Power Ranger movie based on the first trailer! Unlike The Breakfast Club where a group of students come together in detention, these group of teens become Power Rangers (which is a little more badass).

On Saturday, Lionsgate finally released the first trailer of the highly-anticipated film, and it’ll definitely give you a blast-from-the-past vibe.

The original Mighty Morhpin Power Rangers was released in 1993, while the first movie spinoff hit theaters back in 1995. 20 years later, the Power Rangers are back and better than ever.

The trailer is filled with lots of action, excitement and eerie music, obviously. This movie follows the story of five high school kids who wind up in Saturday school for one reason or another. They are more edgy, outside the box and odder than your average teen.

The five kids bond at school and eventually stumble upon something out of this world — aliens are threatening their world — and become the Power Rangers!

The trailer begins by showing each of the main characters and how they got to detention. Then you see them becoming friends and exploring a creepy, restricted area, where they find the power coins, which are responsible for their ability to morph into their awesome super suits.

Later, you see the teens trying to figure out what happened to them the night the found the coins, as their powers slowly become more clear. They can jump over giant ditches, are so strong that if someone hits them they fall down, and they kick some serious butt.

You even see Rita Repulsa (played by Elizabeth Banks), aka a bad guy, before the clip comes to an end.

The trailer also shows us the beginnings of the Red Ranger (Dacre Montgomery), Blue Ranger (RJ Cyler), Yellow Ranger (Becky G), Black Ranger (Ludi Lin) and Pink Ranger (Naomi Scott). All you ’90s kids won’t be disappointed — it’s SO old school, with a touch of new movie-making magic that’s sure to get you pumped for the movie’s release in spring 2017.

Power Rangers hits theaters on March 24, 2017.
