Netflix released a 'Daredevil' season 2 teaser and we can't get enough
2016 has brought us so many wonderful things already, after only one week. Here’s something else to add to that list: the new teaser for season 2 of Daredevil. After a great first season following lawyer-by-day, hero-by-night Matt Murdock and his fight against Wilson Fisk, Netflix debuted this teaser that proves we’re definitely in for more fascinating plot lines and character development. Here’s our breakdown of the season 2 teaser.
Most of the teaser recalls moments from season 1, like when Matt realizes he’s blind and how his powers come to exist. Images of Matt as a child, a lawyer, a hero all slowly fade to black one-by-one, accompanied by dialogue from the first season. The whole teaser seems to take place in a church, highlighting religious images and even including a new bit of dialogue between Matt and Father Lantom, discussing Matt’s feelings of guilt and how to deal with them. Maybe we’ll see more of how Matt’s religious values play into his life? Exciting!
Finally, the best bit of the whole teaser — the ending. As the screen pans out, showing us the classic “DD” lit up in the middle of the city, we catch a glimpse of who we should expect to see quite a bit this season: Punisher’s skull comes into view. Yep. This famous anti-hero is coming, and he’s definitely going to make the new season of Daredevil very, very interesting.
Well, I know what I’m doing this March 18. See you then, Netflix.
