There’s a brand new clip from Tim Burton’s highly anticipated movie Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children and it’s fantastic.

The film hits theaters this month!

A new clip was released on Saturday and fans of the classic tale got a glimpse of the loop explanation part of the film, where the school headmaster (played by Eva Green) breaks down time manipulation to Jake (played by Asa Butterfield).

In the teaser, Jake is learning about people’s special abilities, including the Miss Peregrine’s unique talent. She explains she is able to manipulate time and protect everyone from enemies. She doesn’t just “turn into a bird,” Jake!

“We choose a safe place, a safe day and create a loop,” she tells Jake. “A loop is of the last 24 hours. Reset the loop and the day is yours to live in again. Reset it daily and you can stay there forever.”

Fans everywhere celebrated “Loop Day” on September 3 and they took part in the film’s social media campaign. Many people used the hashtag #StayPeculiar, including fellow Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children actress Ella Purnell.

The Tim Burton directed film hits theaters this month on September 30. The movie includes a “peculiar” cast, including Eva Green, Asa Butterfield, Chris O’Dowd, Allison Janney, Rupert Everett, Terence Stamp, Ella Purnell, Judi Dench and Samuel L. Jackson.

In the meantime, enjoy the movie’s creepy looking gifs that will definitely inspire you to start planning this year’s Halloween costume.

“Time is power.”

“Evil takes many forms.”

“Create something curious.”

“Jake sees things no one else can.”

“Free yourself from the ordinary.”

We are so excited for this perfectly creepy movie!!
