Mandy Moore talks about falling in love with Shane West in "A Walk to Remember"
It’s been exactly 15 years since the film the adaptation of Nicholas Sparks’ novel A Walk To Remember landed in theaters and in our lives and hearts. And now, Mandy Moore and Shane West remember a Walk to Remember together, and we’re falling in love with them all over again.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Moore and West discussed what it was like meeting each other for the first time and then spending so much time together while filming.
And their memories of each other are exactly as we hoped they’d be.
Heart eyes times a million.
Their bond was super tight and it helped Moore get through her very first starring role in a movie. Moore added:
West was just as thrilled about his co-star as she was.
“It was kind of perfect the way we came into the project because she was coming from this pop background at that time — she had her song “Candy,” and a role in the Princess Diaries — and for me I was into punk rock and so it was like completely opposites attract, or opposites are forced together to work,” West said. “It was great for the role because that’s how the characters are put together in the movie.”
So basically their love was real (platonic love, but still love). Excuse us as we go watch the movie again for old time’s sake and for love’s sake.
