Every once in a while Hollywood gifts us a movie so perfect that all we can do is sit in the theatre and bask in all its glory over and over again. Wonder Woman is that movie right now. It continues to kill at the box office, but it seems Warner Brothers underestimated Wonder Woman’s success, and now they’ll have to pay the price. Unfortunately, that’s nothing new. Hollywood is constantly underestimating the power of women-led films.

With the massive success of Wonder Woman, studio execs at Warner Brothers might be changing their tune soon.

The film brought in 16 million dollars last Friday alone, making it the biggest opening by a woman director ever, but also one of the biggest openings for a superhero movie ever. Reports from Business Insider states the studio didn’t sign director Patty Jenkins to a two-picture deal (as they often do for big-budget superhero movies), and fans are practically begging for a sequel to the smash hit. That means if they want Patty to direct a possible sequel, they’ll have to pay ($$$) for her.

The report said,

Getting Patty back on board would be the smart move considering Wonder Woman has a 92-percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes, and fans can’t seem to get enough.

Come on, Hollywood. We believe in you! Make it happen.
