We’ve seen our Leia Organa do many, many things over the last 40 years in the Star Wars universe: She’s saved Luke Skywalker and Han Solo when they were supposed to be saving her; she’s fired blasters and driven speeder; she once choked a gangster with *her bare hands* — and this is all only just the beginning. Let’s not forget that she made the jump from Princess to General, and is also doing a pretty good job leading the Resistance.

While we’ve seen Leia under stress before, we’ve never seen her lose her cool. However, it sounds like that’s going to change in The Last Jedi, because according to a tiny little tidbit in a brand new Vanity Fair feature story, Leia does something she’s never done before. And that is slap someone.

Minor spoilers ahead for Last Jedi if you don’t want to know who’s on the receiving end of Leia’s hand.

In the Vanity Fair story (conducted after the loss of our beloved Carrie Fisher) the cast spends a lot of time reminiscing about just how gd wonderful Carrie Fisher was. In doing so, Oscar Isaac (who plays hotshot pilot, Poe Dameron) brings up one scene in the movie he shot with Fisher. Leia and Poe work closely together fighting against the First Order, but for some yet-unknown reason, Leia slaps Poe.

I KNOW. Why on Earth would you slap this face??

Answer: Princess General Leia. Unfortunately, Isaac doesn’t give the scene any context, but does explain that Carrie loved doing it.

Yes, but back to the whole “Leia slaps Poe” thing. Why? How? What? What on D’Qar could POE DAMERON have possibly done?

On one hand, kinda nervous to see what goes down between Leia and Poe, because it sounds major. On the other hand, super excited to watch Leia slap someone.
