Kristen Stewart and Lupita Nyong'o might star in the "Charlie's Angels" reboot, and yes, we'll let them save the world
Sometimes we’re not super into the reboots Hollywood wants to give us. But other times, we are SO into them it’s embarrassing. Apparently Kristen Stewart and Lupita Nyong’o are in the running to star in a Charlie’s Angels reboot, and this is easily the best news we’ve heard all day, or maybe all week…possibly all month, and we’re not ruling out all year at this point. It’s just early talks, but if nothing else, it’s an indication that whoever’s casting this baby has really good taste, and no matter what, we won’t be disappointed.
Not only are two of our favorite ladies potentially starring in the reboot of a favorite franchise, but Elizabeth Banks is directing.
TALK ABOUT GIRL POWER, Y’ALL.
Kristen Stewart has been sticking to more indie fare since Twilight (#noshame, but…we’re sure that fanbase can get a little intense). So we’re pretty excited to see her stepping into the mainstream. We’re also REALLY excited to see her pal around with Lupita.
What’s maybe more exciting is the thought of what’s to come — after all, Charlie has three angels, so what amazing gal are they going to get to finish the trio?
Originally it was Kate Jackson, Farrah Fawcett, and Jaclyn Smith; then came Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore, and Lucy Liu. And while we LOVE all of those ladies, we’re really stoked about the possibilities of this new girl gang.
After all, if they’re circling K. Stew and Lupita, we can only imagine what the rest of their casting wish-list looks like.
