The director of "Jurassic World 2" can't stop teasing how BIG this next movie is going to be
If you thought Jurassic World was big, sequel director J.A. Bayona is about to blow that out of the water! In fact, he can’t stop teasing just how big this next movie is going to be, but we’re not mad about it!
Having witnessed what he did with The Orphanage and The Impossible, we’ll get a glimpse of what’s to come with his latest, A Monster Calls. Though, don’t box Bayona in when it comes to what he’s capable of. While we aren’t exactly sure what Jurassic World 2 will entail, he does promise it will be bigger and badder than the first in the trilogy. He even goes so far as saying it will be “fun.” In a recent interview with The Playlist, Bayona confessed he felt JW2 is an obvious choice after doing previous films that had darker elements.
We’re all about a fun flick, especially when dinosaurs are involved! Although, he’d be remiss not to skirt around some dark elements and even political points and hasn’t denied the implications. He went on to discuss how this film will fit into the franchise, while still keeping a fresh feel for new and pioneer fans alike.
Definitely, it must be hard to navigate the journey of paying homage while still creating something entirely new, so we feel the pain. However, we’re sure he’ll get it done. He goes on to add:
We certainly can’t wait to see what he has up his sleeve! Jurassic World 2 releases June 22nd, 2018.
