Since nearing the billion dollar mark for the live-action adaptation of Beauty and the Beast, Disney already has big plans in the making for upcoming films. Although sequels are reportedly out of the question, the cinematic universe in which our beloved characters live may get a whole lot bigger. With films like Aladdin and Mulan gearing up for production, remakes of films from Disney’s classic animated movies are sure to make all of our wildest dreams come true.

And, one Disney executive has us all waiting on the edge of our seats for more news!

In an interview with Deadline, Sean Bailey said that we can hopefully expect some major innovations in upcoming adaptations.

Sure, it’s hard to imagine he means specifically having crossover movies, but we can dream, right?

After all, it’s worked so well in the Marvel universe. It could be really cool to see in these other worlds we already know so well.

Could you imagine Belle teaching Ariel more about the human world? Or, maybe Mulan teaching Jasmine how to handle a spear? When it comes to Disney spinning magic, possibilities are truly endless!

There’s already been some extrapolating on The Hunchback of Notre Dame and Beauty and the Beast sharing the same timeline. And Disney fans have long enjoyed finding hidden easter eggs in all sorts of their favorite fictional worlds. So it only makes sense that maybe – just maybe – we’ll see more famous cameos and crossovers in the future.
