Chris Pratt has some constructive criticism for "Suicide Squad"
With its great cast and compelling action sequences, there was a lot to enjoy about Suicide Squad. But like almost any movie, there were also some things to be desired. In an iO9 press junket, Chris Pratt shared his one wish about Suicide Squad and the DC Universe movies in general, and we totally understand where he’s coming from. He referenced the many, many characters that the movie introduced (all at once), and how it made it difficult to really care about any single person.
via giphyPratt went on to explain how Marvel introduced Iron Man in three movies, along with testing Captain America and Thor before they graduated to The Avengers — and how that system of slowly introducing characters and “creating a thirst” for them is a smart way to go.
And Pratt’s suggestion of creating trilogies for each character would only mean more superhero movies, so obviously we’re all for that (if Hollywood is taking notice!). Of course, he also acknowledged that creating franchises is a very difficult task, so yeah…this is all easier said than done.
Yup, we know! Being the movie buffs that we are, we’re looking forward to all the future superhero movies, whether they be ensemble pieces or solo origin stories. We’re here for it all!
