Kirk Gleason has a brand new job: He's going to be an Avenger
Stars Hollow everyman, Kirk Gleason, has done it all. You name it, he’s probably tackled it at some point around town — even if he might not have tackled it successfully. Hey, it’s tough work being able to handle everything Stars Hollow might throw at you, no matter how big or small.. For Kirk, it’s just all in a days work.
Now, it appears as if Kirk has graduated to his biggest job yet: He’s going to save the galaxy. Um, probably. Actually, whether he saves it, or tries to destroy it, is still up for debate. All we really know right now is that Kirk is suiting up to hang out with the Avengers.
Earlier today, Sean Gunn posted a picture to his Instagram captioned: “Starting work on a new project. It’s secret, though. I can’t say what it is.”
Hmm. We can guess. He’s clearly showing off some ~fancy~ new Avengers swag for Infinity War, including a cool had and a cool mug and tbh, we’re jealous of both.
And now just HOW did Kirk Gleason end up in the same room as Iron Man? Sean Gunn happens to not only be a (clearly) accomplished actor, but also the brother of Guardians of the Galaxy director, James Gunn. Sean played Kraglin in Guardians of the Galaxy, and will return for the role in Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 2. It’s probably not too much of a spoiler to say that he survives the events of Vol. 2, and winds up in the middle of a fight with Star Lord & Co. bringing him to Infinity War.
But just who’s side he’s on remains to be seen. Is Kraglin fighting for the Avengers, or for Thanos? HelloGiggles actually chatted with Sean back in October at the Gilmore Girls festival, and noted that his character was suspiciously absent from the Guardians trailer that had just dropped. Sean hinted that this was intentional, because we aren’t supposed to know just WHO he’s aligning himself with.
Team Avengers, or Team Thanos?
Come on, we all know the answer to this. It’s team Kirk.
