There are big shoes to fill, then there are these shoes to fill. As in, the Hillary Clinton’s shoes. We probably don’t have to tell you this, but playing the revered politician as an actress is a huge (daresay intimidating) feat because there’s a lot to live up to, obviously! But in the upcoming biopic (esque) film based on Hillary’s early life, we think casting directors hit the nail on the head when booking Addison Timlin to fill the role.

For starters, just look at her next to a young Hillz — the 25-year-old actress is practically a dead ringer for the politician in her early years.

Now, a little bit about the flick itself. Portraying the 2016 presidential candidate’s life in 1969, the upcoming film, When I’m a Moth, gives a refreshing glimpse at Hillary’s life during the gap year she took to work in Alaska, prior to attending Yale Law School. The film promises to be a beautiful, coming-of-age-like story before Clinton’s ascension to the top of the political totem pole. However, Timlin is quick to add that this isn’t exactly a traditional biopic.

“There are plenty of moments where we’re like, this didn’t happen,” she told Buzzfeed in a recent interview.

“I think it was all intentional,” Timlin continues, “but I don’t think it was disingenuous. I think a lot of people feel that way about Hillary Clinton, that she’s always tried to be liked and that’s what people have veered away from. It’s interesting, but I think it’s something, unfortunately, women all over the world deal with in every way — this tragic need to be liked.”

As for Timlin herself, we might not have seen her performance yet, but we’re certain we already like love her. To give you a little background on her here, she kicked off her career on Broadway playing the title orphan in Annie, and has since worked steadily in a range of projects from indie films to the series Californication.

And like Hillary, Addison is a social and political activist who isn’t afraid to speak her mind. She even hit up the Women’s March back in January along with friends and her beau, Jeremy Allen White (who we all know and ~adore~ as Lip Gallagher from Shameless).

Like we said, we haven’t seen the movie. But we can tell you this: We know Addison is going to nail the part, and we can’t wait to watch!
