Lifetime biopics have been made for some of the world’s greatest entertainers: Aaliyah, Whitney Houston, Brittany Murphy, Anna Nicole Smith. But one actress in particular who hasn’t been given the great honor of having her life made into a Lifetime original is Meryl Streep.

She’s more than deserving: She’s Earth’s most beloved actress, and has received more Academy Award nominations than any actor ever. Sure, she’s alive and well — which could be part of the problem — but she’s MERYL. She deserves a Lifetime biopic, because she deserves all the things in the whole world.

There’s no word on whether or not Meryl Streep cares or even knows she’s being shafted by Lifetime, but there are some people who do care and have done something about it. The folks at Funny or Die recently made a parody trailer of Meryl Streep’s fantastically long and incredible career — and it is everything.

Meryl: The Lifetime Biopic features Christina Applegate as Meryl Streep — a really, really terrible version of Meryl Streep. The terrible-ness is intentional, of course, and Applegate is hilarious. From Out of Africa to The Devil Wears Prada, no role is left untouched. The video basically makes fun of the fact that it’s pretty much impossible to make fun of Meryl Streep, and it’s kind of brilliant.

Check out the trailer below.
