We love hearing about funny behind the scenes moments from our fave TV shows, and now Megan Mullally has shared a hilarious BTS story about the time Madonna cameoed on Will & Grace.

After what felt like YEARS of back and forth, it was finally confirmed that the beloved sitcom Will & Grace would officially be returning to NBC for a special 10-episode run for the 2017-2018 television season.

Rumors of the reunion began to circulate when the four main cast members, Debra Messing (who played Grace Adler), Eric McCormack (who played Will Truman), Megan Mullally (who played Karen Walker), and Sean Hayes (who played Jack McFarkand) reunited for a special sketch in support of Hillary Clinton ahead of last year’s election in November.

We’re thrilled that one of the smartest, funniest, and most defining comedies in NBC history is coming back,” said NBC Entertainment Chairman Robert Greenblatt. “This groundbreaking series for everything from gay rights to social and political commentary — all disguised as a high-speed train of witty pop culture — is coming back where it belongs.”

Now Megan Mullally has opened up about her favorite cameo from the show, and her story is hilarious.

Dropping by Jimmy Kimmel Live, Mullally spoke about how the cast didn’t know until a day before the announcement that Will & Grace was coming back, before talking about the cameos that appeared on the series when it ran between 1998 and 2006.

When asked whether Madonna would be like, “Hi Will, Hi Grace” by Kimmel, Mullally said:

Amazing.

Mullally also recalled how, when Cher guested on the show, she didn’t really talk to the cast, and never even made it into the $100,000 trailer she asked for. However, she said, Cher did invite Sean Hayes to her castle in Italy for Thanksgiving (although he didn’t go).

Hearing these hilarious stories only has us more excited for when Will & Grace returns to our screens. We can’t wait!
