ABC Family is in the process of rebooting itself — because why not? — and part of that includes a brand new name and way more original programming. In 2016, the network will be renamed Freeform, and it already has its first brand new show lined up. This is exciting for a bunch of reasons: the new show is from Pretty Little Liars mastermind, I. Marlene King; it’s all about Hollywood; and it stars Bella Thorne. We need to be able to watch this show, like, yesterday.

The new show, Famous in Love, was first announced earlier this year, but now it’s officially got a pilot order. That means, it’s on its way to becoming our new favorite TV show. Just like PLL, FIL (let’s make that abbreviation stick) is jumping from page to screen, and started off as a book by Rebecca Serle. The story follows Thorne’s Paige, who is “an ordinary college student who gets her big break after auditioning for the starring role in a Hollywood blockbuster.”

That sounds great and all, but knowing that this will be like PLL‘s sister, just HOW much drama will be in it? Don’t worry, it’s A LOT.  After becoming super-famous overnight, “[Paige] must now navigate her new star-studded life and undeniable chemistry with her two co-leads while uncovering the truth about what happened to a famous missing pop star.”

So it’s set on the backdrop of Hollywood, there’s going to be at least one love-triangle, and there’s already someone missing?? Sounds like a perfect PLL companion to us.

ABC Family (soon: Freeform) is just as excited. “With Famous in Love, Marlene takes us behind the scenes of young Hollywood to tell a sexy, soapy tale about what it’s like to make a movie — and fall in love — in L.A,” Karey Burke, Executive VP of Programming and Development at ABC Family explained in a statement. “We are also thrilled to welcome the talented Bella Thorne to our network and cannot wait to get started on our next can’t-miss show.”

FIL is still technically in development, at least the pilot is on its way. Hopefully it makes its way to our TV very soon.
