We all know of her affinity for the LGBTQ community, and now Lady Gaga has spoken about how the gay men in her life helped her become the person she is today.

The star was talking during the first episode of Untucked following the Season 9 premiere of RuPaul’s Drag Race, in which she featured heavily, and even dressed as a drag king, Ronnie, for the opening episode. In fact, Gaga even put on her best drag makeup, and performed a mini rendition of RuPaul’s iconic club hit, “Supermodel (You Better Work).” Literally, the first episode of Drag Race left us GAGGING!

Well, in an emotional behind-the-scenes moment, Lady Gaga opened up about the impact that gay men have had on her life, and it’s actually super sweet.

Speaking during RuPaul’s Drag Race: Untucked, the behind-the-scenes spinoff show, Gaga gave the competing queens a small masterclass and feedback, before drag queen Valentina thanked the popstar for her continued support to the LGBTQ community.

In response, Gaga said that it was thanks to the gay men in her life that she was the person she was today.

Continuing, Gaga spoke about how she felt like not many people would get where she was coming from.

Meanwhile, at the end of the season premiere of RuPaul’s Drag Race it was ruvealed that an unnamed 14th queen would be joining the competition to compete for the coveted prize of America’s Next Drag Superstar.

RuPaul’s Drag Race continues Fridays on VH1 (and the following day on Netflix in other territories).
