Lady Gaga is back and we couldn’t be happier about it. The singer recently released her brand new single “Perfect Illusion,” and completely wowed us in the process.

The New York-born star, who celebrated her 30th birthday this year, shared the new track — her first proper pop song in three years — earlier this month. Since then, Gaga has been on a whirlwind promotional tour, which has seen her stop all over the world and spill little details about her upcoming project.

Speaking to Zane Lowe on Beats 1, Gaga revealed that her soon-to-be-released fifth studio album, emotionally titled Joanne, was an homage to her late aunt, who died of Lupus before Gaga was born. The singer also revealed that the collection would feature collaborations with Beck, Father John Misty, and a duet with Florence Welch from Florence + the Machine.

Now Gaga has shared the trippy video for the album’s lead single, “Perfect Illusion,” and she looks like a rock queen.

Premiering the clip during the season premiere of Fox’s Scream Queens, the video sees Gaga driving through the desert in some shorts before starting an impromptu rock show.

With cameos from Mark Ronson, who co-wrote the song and is executive producing Gaga’s upcoming album, Kevin Parker from Tame Impala, who also co-wrote the song, and producer BloodPop, the video is one crazy affair.

Gaga can be seen swinging a microphone over her head as people mosh around her in hazy sunlight.

Watch the clip below.

The video for “Perfect Illusion” was directed by one of Gaga’s long time collaborators Ruth Hogben, a noted fashion and photographer and filmmaker who has previously worked with the singer on the interludes for her “Monster Ball” and “artRAVE: The ARTPOP Ball.”

The conclusion of the video echoes the song’s sentiments and finds Gaga rolling around in the desert alone, seemingly having hallucinated the whole thing.

Speaking to SiriusXM, the singer explained the the track wasn’t about a specific person, but rather “being intoxicated with love.”

Lady Gaga releases Joanne on October 21st. “Perfect Illusion” is available now.
