When it comes to booking guests on Scandal, Kerry Washington wants to reach for the stars. And we mean the type that are multi-hyphenates, universally adored, and are “super”—both in talent and the sheer level of their stardom.

If you haven’t already guessed it, we mean the Queen Bey herself: Beyoncé.

The Scandal star made the revelation on Friday, during a Town Hall for Sirius XM with Entertainment Weekly editor Henry Goldblatt. According to EW, after Washington was asked about her ideal guest stars, she said, “It would be great to have somebody like Beyoncé on the show, because any time Beyoncé does anything, it makes the world stop, and I would just be happy.”

She goes on to say of the pop phemon, “Any time I get to be in a room with her, I’m like, ‘This is great.'”

Washington knows what it’s like to be in the presence of megastars: this month, she was an attendee at the 67th Emmy Awards, during which an Apple Music commercial aired starring herself, Empire’s Taraji P. Henson, and Mary J. Blige. Goldblatt asks Washington about the commercial, which he calls the “highlight” of the broadcast.

Directed by Selma’s Ava DuVernay, Washington says the commercial was filmed in one day, and partially improvised. She also shares that DuVernay asked the women about their favorite music, having each tell her their top three break-up songs, party songs, etc. While Washington doesn’t share much in the way of specifics so as not to spoil upcoming spots, she does mention that her likes include an eclectic and potentially surprising mix including classical, Latin, and even country music.

Created by Shonda Rimes, who is on fire, Scandal would clearly clearing benefit from a Beyoncé guest appearance ratings-wise; though, the Thursday premiere of the hit show’s fifth season fared well in its own right. Now all that’s left is for us to daydream what kind of character she’d play on the show—hopefully, time will tell!
