When Kelly Clarkson sings, angels weep tears of happy joy. She could sing the ABCs backwards, and we’d give her a standing ovation. She also happens to be the queen of covers. So take Clarkson’s powerhouse voice, and mix it together with one of our favorite Rihanna songs, and you’ve got something we’re never taking off repeat EVER.

Clarkson recently stopped by the BBC radio’s Live Lounge, and sang the new Rihanna classic, “B*tch Better Have My Money.” Interesting choice, so can she do it? Remember who we’re talking about here, this is the original American Idol. Of course she can, and she knocks it out of the park.

While we still love RiRi’s version with our whole heart, Clarkson’s rendition is completely different and we love it, too. She adds a brand new layer to the song, and it reminds of not too long ago when Clarkson covered Tracy Chapman’s “Give Me One Reason.” Also amazing, and repeat-worthy. We certainly love her pop songs, but can we get a whole soulful album? Even if they are just covers of already-incredibly songs! Please please please please.

“B*tch Better Have My Money” might not be the best song for Clarkson to sing her toddler daughter, River Rose, but it’s perfect for us, her adult superfans. Check out the song below, and prepare to fall in love with it.
