Justin Hartley says that Season 2 of "This Is Us" will be even "deeper," if that's even possible
It was the breakout TV hit of last season, and now actor Justin Hartley has teased Season 2 of This Is Us by saying things are going to go even deeper than before (if that’s even, like, possible).
After a bit of shuffling around, we finally have a return date for This Is Us. The emotional drama, which charters the lives of the Pearson family, will see its second season premiere on September 26th, which means that we have a few months until we need to stock up on the tissues as we prepare to cry every week for the next 9 months.
Now, while we know that things are going to be emotional when the show returns (they always are, right?), Hartley, who plays Kevin on the show, has said that we’re going to delve deeper into the lives of the characters.
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, the actor said that things weren’t going to be too different when Season 2 begins.
In fact, Hartley said that he’d already read three of the scripts for This Is Us‘s second season, describing them as “tearjerkers, right off the page.”
“I don’t know how [the writing team] keep doing this, but I feel like they’re getting better,” he said.
That doesn’t mean that he’s been made privy to all of the twists and turns that we’ve come to expect from the show. Although, he did let slip this little teaser.
We just know that we’re going to be emotional wrecks when This Is Us returns, and we can’t wait.
