Justin Bieber just showed off his mad coloring book skills
Odds are that you’ve heard of the adult coloring book trend, the one where we all take super artistic, next-level coloring books and go to town with a box of crayons. It’s essentially the perfect way to embrace your inner child as you simultaneously soothe your soul. And it turns out the Prime Minister of Pop (get it? Because he’s from Canada!) Justin Bieber is also a HUGE fan.
Yesterday, Bieber took time away from his busy schedule to let his artsy side shine. Armed with what looks like colored pencils, Justin found his muse in a pin-up anime figure. For thirty minutes (which we think is pretty impressive), Justin sat down and colored in between the lines. What resulted is a very colorful (very racy) tribal, anime woman.
Justin captioned his creation: “I colored this its dope Cuz I actually sat down for 30 min and finished I never can sit still for that long so it’s an accomplishment, yes this took me 30 minutes haha I know I suck Don’t judge me.”
According to COED, Color Manga: The Monster Manga Coloring Book is the exact book Justin was using when he got on board the adult coloring book train. Barnes and Noble reveals that the book contains “a fierce dragon, an Amazonian warrior, a mechanical octopus, a fearless female fighter, an ax-wielding dwarf, and other mesmerizing fantasy figures.” So… Justin has a lot of options – a diverse selection, in fact.
Though Justin seems to enjoy coloring books of the anime pin-up variety, there are plenty of other options if that’s not your thing. Here are a few of our personal faves…
Magical Jungle: An Inky Expedition and Coloring Book for Adults by Johanna Basford ($14.64)
Harry Potter Adult Coloring Book by James Conors ($14.52+)
The Affirmations Coloring Book by Sarah Mangle ($16.01)
BOSS BABES: A Coloring Book for Grown-Ups by Michelle Volansky ($15)
Cats & Quilts: Adult Coloring Book by Jason Hamilton ($9.99)
Keep calm and color on (the Biebs would want you to)!
