Fans of playful “Bare Necessities” beware, this is not the animated Jungle Book you remember. However, this live-action adaptation of the Disney classic looks just as unforgettable, thanks to a new clip that was released on Wednesday. In it, we see the first standoff between Mowgli, his pack, and Shere Khan, the tiger who is adamant that man has no place in the jungle, voiced by the incredible Idris Elba.

However, as we all know, Mowgli is no ordinary man. While we only get glimpses of his character in this The Jungle Book clip, we already have a good idea of the relationships in the story, and the central conflict that will unfold when the film hits theaters next month.

Now, we’re just hoping for a closer look at other characters in this epic retelling, including Baloo the bear, voiced by Bill Murray, and Kaa the snake, voiced by Scarlett Johansson. Until then, watching this clip on repeat will have to do.
