Josh Gad recruited Chris Pratt, Penélope Cruz, and more to beg Daisy Ridley to reveal "Star Wars" spoilers AGAIN
In a last hurrah to get *any* info about a galaxy far, far away, Josh Gad recruited a bunch of celebs to beg Daisy Ridley to reveal some Star Wars: The Last Jedi spoilers, and it’s even more hilarious than ever.
In a running joke, which we’re actually sure is pretty serious, Josh Gad has been asking his Murder on the Orient Express co-star Daisy Ridley to reveal titbits about the upcoming Star Wars movie. In a string of videos, Gad lured Daisy to his trailer under false pretences, where he quickly hit her with a barrage of questions regarding Episode VIII in the long-running Space Opera franchise.
In a bid to coax secrets from Ridley, Gad even asked DAME BLOOMIN’ JUDI DENCH to ask the Star Wars actor about Rey’s role and who exactly is/are “The Last Jedi.”
Now, in one final bid to get answers, Josh Gad has recruited a whole heap of famous friends to beg Daisy Ridley to reveal her Star Wars secrets.
Firstly, Gad apologizes to Ridley for asking her repeated questions, and promises that he won’t be grilling her anymore. Instead, a whole heap of famous friends will instead.
“This has been a battle of attrition,” Gad wrote on Instagram. “#daisyridley has been a force to be reckoned with. In many ways she is the Vader to my Luke or the Taylor to my Katy. But like any good opponent, I have tried to outmaneuver her at every turn. This will be her final judgement. May the force be with her, because kids, she is going to need it. All I ask is that you don’t ruin the surprise for others.”
The video sees Leslie Odom Jr., Chris Pratt, Colin Trevorrow, Penelope Cruz, Bryce Dallas Howard, Lucy Boynton, Tom Bateman, and even The Force Awakens director, J.J. Abrams, quiz Ridley about Star Wars, some better than others.
While Chris Pratt seems to be there only to plug his two movies, Jurassic World 2 and the upcoming Avengers movie, his co-star Bryce Dallas Howard hilariously asks Ridley about whether her boots get stuck in the grates on the Millennium Falcon, a pointed dig at the fact that her character from Jurassic World only wore heels throughout the whole dinosaur epic.
JJ. Abrams, who clearly knows more about Star Wars than he’s letting on, even adds his own cute question at the end.
Omg, this is too much!
Fortunately, Daisy Ridley was able to withstand the barrage of questions, and didn’t reveal any spoilers regarding Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi. Looks like we’ll have to wait until December 15th to find out more.
