When we hear Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s name, we automatically think of movies and shows such as 10 Things I Hate About You, 3rd Rock from the Sun, 500 Days of Summer, Inception, and The Dark Knight Rises. Yet, before he was known as an on-screen star, Joseph actually got his start as a commercial whiz.

In 1991, when he was only 10 years old (he’s now 35), Joseph held up an entire Pop Tarts commercial:

We love nothing more than Joseph Gordon-Levitt in a purple polo shirt, pretending to be an adult, while he tries to convince an actual adult to eat a Pop-Tart before rushing out the door to work.

Oh! Joseph also participated in a Cocoa Puffs commercial – because as a kid, he was clearly a breakfast food king:

Though there are several other child actors in the commercial, Joseph definitely stole the spotlight and proved he had what it takes to be a leading man.

This is exactly what we needed on a Monday. Thank you, young Joseph!
