We’re so excited to see our girl Jennifer Lawrence in the upcoming X-Men: Apocalypse film hitting theaters on May 27th, but should we also get ready to say goodbye? The actress spoke to Entertainment Weekly for their newest issue about the film and now we’re not so certain about the fate of her character — or anyone’s characters, really.

“Fassbender and McAvoy and I were all talking,” she told the mag, referring to her costars Michael Fassbender and James McAvoy. “Like, ‘Will you come back?’ ‘I dunno.’ ‘I’ll come back, if you come back.'”

She further confessed, “Fox should be terrified. Because the deal we made was like if one of us doesn’t come back, none of us are.”

Her uncertainty comes from a lot of places, but the biggest being that she’s just not sure she wants to sacrifice three months out of her busy career to reprise the role. “I don’t know,” she said. “I shouldn’t be that honest.”

First of all, it’s pretty endearing that Jen refers to someone so talented and incredible like Michael Fassbender so casually — after so many movies together, he’s just “Fassbender” to her now. Second of all, honesty? We love Jennifer Lawrence because of her honesty!

Here’s the trailer for X-Men: Apocalypse below, in case you haven’t seen it yet:
