James Corden brought the viral subway singer with a golden voice on his show and we have goosebumps
James Corden is certainly no stranger to viral videos, having made a ton of them himself. And now he’s just made a man who became famous from a viral video into a legitimate television singing sensation.
Mike Yung just made his late night debut on The Late Late Show with James Corden.
And he totally nailed it.
Yung originally got on Corden’s radar through a video that showed the singer belting his heart out to “Unchained Melody” in a New York City subway station. According to Corden, the video has been viewed over 40 million times in one week and has basically made Yung an overnight sensation.
But Yung had yet to debut on TV until Corden gave him the chance. And his Late Late Show performance is proof that this man has some serious superstar vocal talent.
His ease in front of the camera combined with his uncanny range and power have us wondering how he isn’t already an international music sensation. With just his guitarist, Shunta, backing him up, he shows off his absolutely insane vocal abilities.
ICYMI, the video that went viral was of just one of Yung’s subway performances. There are others you can find online along with some of his previous collaborations and live shows. All of them are absolutely spectacular to listen to and will totally blow you away.
There’s no doubt that with this level of talent and momentum currently behind him, we’ll be hearing a lot more from Mike Yung soon (and we cannot wait).
