Jacob Tremblay just adorably recreated Brie Larson's "Elle" cover
It's no secret that we think Jacob Tremblay is the absolute best. He gave a phenomenal performance in the heart-wrenching film Room, delivers too-cute speeches, and adorably cut the line to meet Leonardo DiCaprio at the SAG Awards, knowing he could get away with it because he's a kid. He also has a unique and wonderful friendship with his Room costar Brie Larson that was sparked by their mutual love of Star Wars.
"She likes Star Wars like me. So that's why we're best friends," Tremblay told People magazine in October. "We talk about it all the time."
It's no surprise, then, that 9-year-old actor would congratulate Larson on her recent Elle cover. It's the way he did it that totally captured our hearts. According to People, Tremblay took a picture with the cover and shared it on Instagram. He tagged Larson and captioned the image: "Best magazine cover I've ever seen! #strikeapose #ellemagazine"
As they say, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, and Tremblay is obviously excited about his costar's gorgeous magazine cover.
Larson has a lot to celebrate, too: after being hailed for her performance in 2013's Short Term 12, she's all but swept the Best Actress awards this season, taking home the SAG, BAFTA, Golden Globe, and Critic's Choice for her raw, brave portrayal of a young mother held in captivity for 7 years. Her Elle cover claims that she's "about to become the biggest star in Hollywood," with good reason. She has also been nominated for the Best Actress in a Leading Role Oscar.
While we're excited to see whether Larson takes home the most coveted award in film acting, we have to admit: we're probably even more stoked to see her and Tremblay together again. For now, though, we'll have to wait for the reunion of these charming BFFs; we're glad that Tremblay Instagrammed this pic to help hold us over until then!
