Will Beyoncé be performing at the VMAs tonight? That is the question. A source told Billboard she will be, and the Los Angeles Times reported that “Beyoncé has been in top-secret rehearsals.” However, other reports have been more speculative.
So all we can do is hope. And pray. And hope some more.
After all, our girl Beyoncé is nominated for 11 awards tonight. Yep, 11.
But are any of us really surprised?!
What’s the word on the street — erm, Twitter?
People have reason to believe we’ll see Beyoncé perform tonight.
From the Beyonce fan community, THE BEYHIVÉ…
…to this actor who heard her rehearsing.
Beyoncé last performed at the VMAs in 2014, singing lots of her top hits — and our favorites, of course.
Even though she’s not on the official list of performers, that doesn’t mean she can’t surprise us, right?!
The official list includes Rihanna, who will perform the opening act, Britney Spears, Future, Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj, Nick Jonas with Ty Dolla $ign, and the Chainsmokers with Halsey. In addition, Jidenna, Lukas Graham, and Alessia Cara will be performing at the pre-show.
According to Inquisitr, we do have one pretty good clue that Beyoncé may grace the stage with her presence: Rihanna will be receiving the MTV Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award. Usually, the recipient performs toward the end of the night. You probably remember that Beyoncé won it back in 2014.
So, since Rihanna is performing at the top of the VMAs tonight, which she confirmed on Instagram, maybe this means Beyoncé will perform at the end?
Of course, there’s only one way to find out for sure — by watching the VMAs tonight at 9 p.m. ET (8 p.m. CT) on MTV. We hope we see you up on stage tonight, Beyoncé.
