Shondaland fans should be buzzed, as ABC has finally announced when we’re returning to Grey’s Anatomy, Scandal, and How to Get Away With Murder.

Last year, our fall TV experience was sorely missing the T.G.I.T (Thank God it’s Thursday, for the uninitiated) line-up. Due to Kerry Washington’s pregnancy and the subsequent birth her son, Caleb Kelechi Asomughal, Scandal was given a shorter season and pushed back to the new year. If that weren’t enough, it was later announced that the upcoming seventh season of Scandal would, in fact, be its last — although it’s being replaced by not one but TWO new Shonda Rhimes shows, one of which is a Grey’s Anatomy spinoff.

Summers, of course, can be hard when we don’t have our fix of Meredith Grey, Olivia Pope, or Annalise Keating.

That’s why we’re SO happy to have dates that Grey’s Anatomy, Scandal, and How to Get Away with Murder will be returning this fall.

Unfortunately, it seems that the holy trinity of Thursday night drama won’t all return at once.

ABC announced that the Season 14 premiere of Grey’s Anatomy will air on September 28th. Not only that, but it’ll be a two-hour opening. Given how things ended at the tail end of Season 13, we’re expecting there to be a lot of drama unfolding as Owen and Riggs come to terms with the return of Owen’s sister. Likewise, we have Maggie’s realization that she might be falling for Jackson, and Stephanie’s shocking exit to handle. Oh, and let’s not even get started on Alex’s new obsession with Jo’s abusive ex-husband.

Also returning on September 28th will be How to Get Away with Murder, which also feels like it’s entering into a new place following the exit of Alfred Enoch’s character Wes Gibbons.

If you’re looking for your next fix of high-octane political posturing, conspiracy theories, and winding plot twists, Scandal will return for its final season on October 5th, completing the T.G.I.T. lineup.

Hopefully what this means, then, is that when How to Get Away With Murder and Scandal come to an end at the beginning of next year, we’ll be gifted with two new Shondaland shows, the untitled Grey’s spinoff and the rather fabulous-looking legal drama, For the People.

Okay, so we do have about two months until we get the T.G.I.T lineup back, but two months is totally enough time to binge watch all 13 seasons of Grey’s, three seasons of How to Get Away With Murder, and six seasons of Scandal, right?
