We’re still a year away from the first stand-alone female-driven superhero movie – looking at you, Wonder Woman – so in the meantime, let’s set our sights on something else amazing: How about a Harley Quinn movie?

Before you start getting too excited, there are still very few details about this happening, but it looks like it’s on track to happen. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Warner Bros. (the studio behind everything DC) is seriously considering a Harley Quinn spinoff. Not just that, but the movie wouldn’t solely focus on Harley Quinn. It’d focus on a BUNCH of DC heroines (and in Harley’s case, anti-heroines).

Margot Robbie, the fearless lady behind Harley Quinn, is leading the charge for this movie, and will even produce it. As THR explains, Robbie fell in love with not only Harley, but all the females in the DC Comic Universe, and was the one to first bring the project to them. It only makes SENSE for Harley to get more screen time, since, let’s be real, she’s emerged as the clear fan-favorite from Suicide Squad. We caught up with Robbie earlier this year, and she gushed about the project to us stating, “I think I’m more excited than anyone about this movie. I’m not even going to pretend to play it cool. I am dying to see it.”

Us too. And now we’re dying to see whatever Robbie and Harley do next. Supposedly, there’s already someone penning the script for this spin-off and even better, it’s a FEMALE writer. Along with Harley, it’s thought that characters like Batgirl and Poison Ivy will be teaming up for this outing, but still, not much is known. So sit tight, we’re only just entering into the Age of Harley Quinn.
