And you thought that Tim Riggins was out of your life forever. Well, have I got good news for you. He’s BACK and he’s going to SING for you! That’s right, Friday Night Lights is going to be a musical. Cue Explosions in The Sky.

Okay, so chances are, Taylor Kitsch is not reprising his role in the Unauthorized Musical Adaptation. However, it’s brought to you by the same geniuses that made The Unauthorized O.C. musical, so even if they can’t give me Taylor Kitsch, I know they’ll find someone good. But just like the O.C. Musical, Friday Night Lights will run for one night only. Annnd cue tears.

But if you want to cry happy tears, know this: Scott Porter will playing the role of Coach Taylor. Yes! Scott Porter! (Maybe better known as Jason Street or as I think of him, the best friend of the love of my life, Tim Riggins.) Don’t believe me? Check out this tweet from the Friday Night Light’s Musical Twitter!

If the anticipation is too much for you, People Magazine came up with a great list of suggestions for the creators on how the musical should be done. Their best idea? Having Jason Street give an emotional speech to Jason Street:

Clear eyes, full hearts, can’t wait!
