Despite the fact that creator Lin-Manuel Miranda is no longer the star of his Broadway smash hit, Hamilton, we all will still get an opportunity to see him in the role (not that his replacement isn’t an incredibly talented human as well because he totally is). Thanks to a previously announced project with PBS about the ~revolutionary~musical, we’ll get access to some never-before-seen footage of Miranda and the rest of the Hamilton family.

PBS has just dropped their first teaser for Hamilton’s America and it is everything we hoped for and more.

Instead of just seeing the musical itself, it looks like we’ll get to see everything about it (and also parts of the musical itself). From the original creation and the way it grew to the influential people who helped inspire it, this documentary appears to be an all-encompassing look at one of the biggest modern musicals to ever hit Broadway.

Between an interview with Barack Obama and commentary from Jimmy Fallon, there are some seriously impressive people making cameos in Hamilton’s America

Of course, it only seems fitting that the people involved in the making of this show are impressive given the absolutely outstanding nature of the Broadway show itself.

This PBS documentary will also be a spectacular way to honor all the wonder and talent that Lin-Manuel Miranda has. Since we’ll be seeing a lot more for the star in the upcoming months (Hello, new Mary Poppins movie!), it will be nice to have a chance to glance behind-the-scenes into the mind of this creative genius.

From the excitement already jam-packed into this 30-second trailer, we can only imagine how spectacularly awesome the documentary itself will be.

Hamilton’s America (aka the #HamildocPBS) will come out October 21.
