It’s hard to believe, but we’re entering a new Harry Potter era. The first act was the magical books from J.K. Rowling. The second act were the blockbuster films from directors like Chris Columbus, Alfonso Cuarón, and David Yates. And now, the third act of the wizarding world is here: The play Harry Potter and the Cursed Child opens this summer in London’s West End.

What do all three of those phases have in common? J.K. Rowling was heavily involved throughout. She co-wrote the play with playwright Jack Thorne, which takes place where Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows left off. Harry Potter and the Cursed Child tells the story of Harry, Ron and Hermione—now adults—working at the Ministry of Magic.

So we have a story, and now we have a full cast as well. A photo was just released that shows all 42 actors who will bring the magical world of Hogwarts to life once more. Before this, we only knew that Jamie Parker is playing Harry, Paul Thornley is playing Ron and Noma Dumezweni is playing Hermione. Beyond those three, we don’t quite know which pictured actor will be playing which role. Which child is Albus Severus? Or the title character of the “cursed” child?

It’s so exciting to see everything come together! Knowing that there’s more to the Harry Potter story, and that it’s coming straight from the mind of J.K. herself, is, well, magical. A little part of us always believed there would be one more story, and we’re so happy that all of us get to hear it. Yes, it’s true—if you can’t score tickets to see the play live in London, the script will be published as a hardcover in the U.S. and as an eBook by Pottermore!

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child opens on July 30th, and the book will be released the next day, which also happens to be Harry’s birthday. What a magical coincidence!
