Erykah Badu's 12-year-old daughter just killed this Rihanna cover and it'll give you chills
It’s obviously clear that talent runs in this family, as we’ve just seen a video of Erykah Badu’s 12-year-old daughter SLAYING this Rihanna cover and it’s given us chills.
When she’s not being the badass godmother of neo-soul, Badu can often be found killing it in all other forms of her life. From doing palm readings on Twitter to helping support rape survivors by donating the proceeds of concert tickets to the African American 490 Challenge, Badu is seriously amazing. And, it seems, so is her daughter, 12-year-old Puma Sabti Curry.
Sharing two clips to Instagram, Badu shared with the world that her daughter can really sing and it’s so incredible.
Puma appears to be in a casually sitting in a ring attached to the ceiling in the video as she gives a spine tingling rendition of Rihanan’s “Stay.”
Omg, that voice is just SO STUNNING.Everything about this rendition is completely haunting, and Puma’s voice has so much depth and emotion to it. We actually can’t get enough of it. And to think that she’s only 12 YEARS OLD!
Speaking to ABC News earlier this year, Badu opened up about how all three of her children were talented and different in their own ways.
Tbh, we totally get what Erykah is talking about, especially after seeing Puma’s incredible Rihanna cover. However, it seems that her youngest daughter, seven-year-old Mars, also loves to perform, too.
The singer shared this adorable video of her and Mars jamming out together in the car to Kiiara’s slow burning hit “Gold” and it’s too cute.
We think that it’s pretty dead certain that Puma at least with follow in her mother’s footsteps in becoming a performer. Her voice is simply amazing and we can’t wait to see what the future holds for her. Until then, we’re going to be replaying those Instagram videos for the foreseeable future.
