Emma Watson's terrifying on-screen reunion with her 'Harry Potter' co-star
In-between playing Belle in Disney’s live-action Beauty and the Beast, and being a force for change with HeForShe, and her work as the UN Women Goodwill Ambassador, Emma Watson found some time to star in a psychological thriller. (How does she do it all? Time-Turner?) In the upcoming film Regression, Watson reunites with one of our favorite Hogwarts professors, Remus Lupin (David Thewlis), but this time around things are much more real.
In the film, out August 28th, Watson’s Angela Gray charges her ailing father with sexual abuse. When he can’t remember the unspeakable crime he’s been accused of, Thewlis’ Dr. Raines is brought in to help unlock his memories. What Raines discovers is a past more sinister than anyone had even imagined. Directed by Alejandro Amenábar of ‘The Others’ (aka one of the most chilling horror films in recent history), the newly released trailer is equal parts terrifying and riveting. It’s definitely not a cheerful Potter reunion, that’s for sure. But don’t let that stop you from checking out these two minutes of sheer terror.
