It’s not every day that a Walt Disney World theme park decides to change its name, but it has happened once before. When Hollywood Studios first opened in 1989, it was actually called Disney’s MGM Studios, thanks to a partnership with MGM Studios. But that partnership ended after 20 years, and in 2009, the park was completely rebranded to what we know today.

Now, almost 10 years later, it looks like the name is about to change again. Hollywood Studios is getting ready to open two brand new expansions — Star Wars Land, aka Galaxy’s Edge, along with Toy Story Land. The park is continuously evolving and clearly changing, which means it’s time for a new name.

While the company hasn’t formally announced that they’re going to change the name, they have started surveying guests. This is typically what they do whenever they’re thinking about making a MAJOR change. This survey asks guests which of the following names would be a good fit for the newly remodeled Hollywood Studios.

Are you ready for these names? Honestly, no one is probably ready for these names, and I swear on Mickey Mouse, these are real:

  • Disney Kaleidoscope Park
  • Disney Storyverse Park
  • Disney Hyperia Park
  • Disney Beyond Park
  • Disney Cinemagic Park
  • Disney Legends Park
  • Disney XL Park
  • Disney Cinemagine Park

Let’s state the obvious. No one is going to buy a ticket for “XL Park” without making roughly 1,000,000 jokes about it. So let’s toss that one right now. Not all of these names are bad, and some of them do make sense. “Hyperia Park” is clearly a nod to the The Hyperion Studios, Walt Disney’s first animation studio in the late 1920s. Calling the park “Legends” also would make sense, as Star Wars *is* about to move in, and Marvel might not be far behind.

But dear Oswald, do not call the park Kaleidoscope Park. Little kids can’t spell that. I can’t even spell that.

These names are by no means final, and one of the above might not end up being the ~chosen~ one. But know that big changes are coming to Hollywood Studios, so you better start buying all of that branded merchandise now.
