Do you have time for some more reimagined Disney princesses? That’s a silly question. There’s all the time in the world for that. One of our favorite Tumblr artists, TheNamelessDoll, is once again taking some of our favorite princesses and putting them in brand new, amazing situations. What’s it this time you ask? Well, she’s given the girls short haircuts, just in time for summer.

I know what you’re thinking, “but Rapunzel already has short hair, and Tiana always has her hair pulled back!” Yes, we are well aware of that! Promise! But TheNamelessDoll, a film/art student from Sweden, has taken the hair a step further.  She’s given many of the girls super-cute pixie cuts and bobs, and in Snow White’s case, a completely shaved head.

I’ll admit I’ve fallen for princess hair envy before (because just like HOW does Ariel do that water-hair-whip thing?) and I’m feeling it once again now. Check out her amazing artwork below.

As she writes on her Tumblr, she was thinking of OITNB’s Ruby Rose for Elsa’s hair inspiration (a million times yes), and gave Aurora a “Chelsea cut” which is a shaved head, excluding the bangs. TheNamelessDoll also tried to “mimic the movie’s style” as much as possible, which is why Belle’s short hair seems more elaborate than Cinderella’s. That’s how they were drawn originally by Disney animators, and she’s just copying the same animation theme.

What do you think? We’ve never had a Disney princess with super short hair before, and now I feel like that needs to change. There’s no proclamation from the king or Mickey Mouse that states all princesses have to have long, flowing locks, and these girls all look amazing. Thinking about chopping all my hair off now, too. Plus, I am really digging Anna’s chin-length bob, so Disney animators take note — I want to see this haircut in Frozen 2.
