Dick Van Dyke may be ninety years old, but he can still sing!

In a video uploaded to YouTube, the smiling legend of stage and screen surprised a crowd at a Southern California Denny’s by breaking into a rendition of the song “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang” with his a capella group the Vantastix:

Dick Van Dyke posted the link to his Facebook page with the caption “Breakfast at Denny’s, with a side of grits makes me want to sing!”

And sing he does!

Dick Van Dyke played the eccentric inventor Caractacus Potts in the 1968 filmChitty Chitty Bang Bang,” which was co-written by beloved children’s author Roald Dahl and was based on a story by Ian Fleming, who is most well known for creating James Bond.

Of course, this isn’t the first time Dick Van Dyke has surprised an unsuspecting group of people. To celebrate his ninetieth birthday, Dick Van Dyke’s wife organized a flash mob in Los Angeles to perform a Mary Poppins medley:

We just assume Dick Van Dyke’s life is full of smiles and singing—as it should be.
