There are many artists to get excited about these days, but Demi Lovato is just about on the top of our list. Just a couple of days ago she covered Adele’s “When We Were Young,” which was utterly amazing, and she even impresses us in every day life by keeping it real about her personal struggles.

And today we heard from People that Lovato is headlining the Global Citizen Festival! This news comes after Selena Gomez had to drop out of the festival due to health reasons related to her Lupus diagnosis.

We hope that Gomez is okay, and that she takes a well-deserved break to bounce back stronger than ever. We’re sending all the healing vibes her way.

Even though we’re definitely unhappy to hear Gomez isn’t feeling her best, we’re definitely not unhappy about her replacement. Speaking about the festival, Lovato told People,

“The Global Citizen Festival combines music and activism in a way that inspires and affects millions around the world. I am proud to support this amazing organization’s ongoing efforts to improve global healthcare and to end extreme poverty.”

Other headliners include Rihanna, Kendrick Lamar, Major Lazer and Metallica. There’s also a slew of awesome guest performers like Usher and Ellie Goulding, so Lovato will be in excellent company across the board.

We know she’s gonna KILL IT in typical star-powered fashion.

Congrats, girl!
