Following the sad passing of Debbie Reynolds, Debra Messing has paid tribute to her on-screen mom in a heartfelt Instagram post.
It was announced yesterday (December 28th) that Debbie Reynolds had died just a day after her daughter Carrie Fisher. The Hollywood icon, who was 84 years old and made a name for herself with her breakout role in Singing in the Rain, died following a suspected stroke. If that wasn’t enough to make you bawl your eyes out, the beloved icon’s last words will have you reaching for the tissue box. It’s reported by TMZ that Reynolds told her son, Todd Fisher, that: “I miss her so much, I want to be with Carrie.”
Now the tributes to Debbie Reynolds have started to pour in.
One in particular comes from Debra Messing, who starred alongside Reynolds in Will & Grace as the much loved mother-daughter duo, Grace and Bobbi Adler.
Messing also took to Instagram to voice her upset and to remember her on-screen mother.
Continuing, she went on to say that Reynolds was always on the go and working 340 days a year.
Similarly, Messing’s co-stars also shared their own tributes to the late icon. Eric McCormack, who played Will Truman, wrote on Twitter that he was “at a loss.”
Meanwhile, Sean Hayes, who played Jack McFarland, took to Facebook to share a picture of Debbie and himself.
Debbie Reynolds played Bobbi Adler for Will & Grace‘s eight season run, and in 2014 she recalled how the role was written specifically for her.
We know that Debbie Reynolds is going to be missed greatly by many people and our thoughts are with her loved ones during this awful and difficult time.
