These are the coolest costumes at Comic Con so far
Comic-Con 2016 is in full swing in San Diego, California, and we can’t get enough of the comic, movie and TV news that keeps coming from the convention. The coolest thing about the event, however, has to be the costumes that cosplayers show up in all week long!
Even though the event isn’t over yet, we had to round up the best outfits so far. Take notes, these are all great ideas for Halloween! Prepare for major Comic-Con envy and serious Halloween vibes below.
Harley Quinn from Suicide Squad has been one of the most popular costumes at this year’s event, so we had to include one of them in our list. Even though all of the SDCC fans who rocked this look were awesome, this cosplayer takes the cake for a couple of reasons. One, she looks badass. Two, she really committed with those booty shorts. And three, her bat is so detailed and accurate. Plus, posing in front of the American flag just adds to her overall awesomeness.
Mrs. & Mr. Pac-Man
The couple that dresses alike, stays together! How cute are these homemade Pac-Man costumes? Sure, they aren’t as intricate as some of the styles seen this week, but they are adorable and fun. Plus, this couple gets major bonus points for wearing giant cardboard heads during California’s major heatwave.
OMG, it’s Judy Hopps from Zootopia! This cosplayer channeled her inner bunny cop and totally nailed it with her costume on Friday. Seriously, she didn’t miss a trick with this costume, which features a cop vest, kneepads, bunny ears, and awesome bunny makeup.
Buddy & Jovie
It was definitely Christmas in July when these two cosplayers showed up at SDCC on Saturday dressed as Buddy and Jovie from Elf. The couple rocked authentic-looking elf costumes, which perfectly matched the characters’ wardrobe at the end of the movie. They even had tights and elf shoes! Will Ferrell and Zooey Deschanel would be SO proud.
This guy is in a league of his own when it comes to SDCC costumes. Not only does he look just like the Silver Surfer with his pose, but he painted himself and his surfboard silver! Oh, and he’s only wearing a speedo under that paint, which takes a lot of courage and commitment.
There is nothing more original than creating your own superhero, which is exactly what this girl did on Wednesday during the Comic-Con preview night. This comic fan took DIY to a whole new level by making a dress out of Comic-Con plastic bags. Plus, her green locks totally matched the different green shades on her frock….so cool.
