The phrase “broke the internet” is thrown around plenty these days, but mom Candace Payne — also known as “the Chewbacca mom” for her hilarious video featuring herself wearing a Chewbacca mask — brought it to a whole new level. In fact, it became the most-watched Facebook Live video ever, with 143 million views and over 3 million reshares. Soooo, Mark Zuckerberg invited her over to Facebook headquarters, and obviously, they had a fabulous time. Because really, any room with Candace in it is a party.

“We invited Candace Payne — whose Chewbacca mask video got 141 million views and is now the most-watched Facebook live video ever — to come by Facebook HQ today,” Mark wrote in a Facebook post yesterday evening. “And we had a fun surprise for her!”

If you guessed that surprise involved Chewbacca, DING DING DING — you were totally right. Candace and Chewbacca rode bikes together. . .

. . . chatted over some nice coffee. . .

. . . and just celebrated the newfound friendship in the sanctity of the Facebook HQ.

Oh, and naturally, Candace and the gang shot a Facebook Live video, where she revealed that they gave her a plaque for her viral video. “Y’all, I am so grateful for what’s happening, both from you that are watching and from this group right here,” she said in the video, gesturing to the Facebook Live team. “. . . So can we just take this little bitty moment, if it really is the simple joys, get in on this one! Because I don’t think I’ll ever have this one again, and it’s amazing. This is serendipity at its finest.”

It’s been quite the journey for Candace/Chewbacca Mom over the past week. She went on the Late Late Show with James Corden (and meet J.J. Abrams on the way!), and she’s already come out with a sequel to her original vid that had us laughing for ages. We have a feeling Candace will be keeping us laughing for a long time, and one thing’s for sure — she’s made a lifelong friend out of Chewie!
