The Hateful Eight, set to hit theaters on December 25th, is Quentin Tarantino’s newest spectacular. Last night, Jimmy Kimmel had the whole cast over to talk about the upcoming film, but one very important person couldn’t make it: Channing Tatum. Tatum plays Jody in the film, and we still don’t know too much about it, which is why it would have been nice to have him on the show. Luckily, they found a solution.

While Tatum couldn’t appear in-person, that doesn’t mean he wasn’t able to whip up a hilarious segment titled “Channing Tatum Says 8 Hateful Things To A Kitten.” It’s pretty much exactly what it sounds like, and almost makes up for his absence.

Just FYI, the clip is a little NSFW (they are “hateful” things after all) but definitely worth a watch if you need a little pick-me-up.
