Everybody knows that in the real world, Tim Riggins from Friday Night Lights and Nate Archibald from Gossip Girl would never hang out. But that didn’t stop the actors behind them, Taylor Kitsch and Chace Crawford, from chilling hard at the December 14th New York Rangers game in this crazy-pants Matrix we call our reality.

Apparently, Kitsch and Crawford have been friends for quite some time (which we call shenanigans on, Riggins would never hang out with a fancy-pants Manhattanite who doesn’t drink cheap beer). They starred in a movie called The Covenant together way, way back in 2006, and have maintained a close buddy-dom ever since.

… But most Rangers fans probably didn’t know this (heck, we sure didn’t!) and were therefore pretty surprised to see “Clear Eyes, Full Hearts, XOXO” realness show up on the jumbotron.

Crawford’s eyebrows! Kitsch’s oh-so-suave peace sign! That kid sitting behind them who has no idea he is on camera!

It’s all too much to handle, but just in case you thought the “worlds collide” bromance couldn’t get any better, know that The Covenant also starred Sebastian Stan and that he’s part of the squad, too. They even had New Year’s Eve dinner together last year, which is…you know, considerably sexier than any party we were invited to.

Can we make a plea for more Covenant reunions ASAP, please? Maybe a sequel?
