The legendary singer paid a heartwarming tribute to her late husband, René Angélil, who died of throat cancer in January. Her husband was 74–years–old.

Dion also honored her brother Daniel Dion, who tragically passed away two days after Angélil’s passing. The singer’s brother died at just 59–years–old due to brain, throat and tongue cancer.

Before the 48–year–old artist performed her single, she dedicated “Recovering” to her loved ones.

“I miss René everyday,” she began. “The loss will now be a part of my life.”

She then explained how she lost her brother and father to cancer. During a challenging and emotional time, fate would lead her to “Recovering,” as she explains her new single  found its way to her.

“A few months ago during my most difficult time of grieving, I received an unexpected gift from an amazing artist that I have always admired – Pink. She offered me a song that expresses power to stand up and stay strong. The most wonderful song is called ‘Recovering.'”

The song is a soft, tender tune and Dion’s heart–wrenching performance evokes emotion stemming from loss, pain and grief. Dion sings with such grace and passion that it’s hard to keep your mascara in place from all of the tears.

Special portraits of Dion with her husband, brother and father began projecting behind her while she sang her tear–jerking tune. Dion was the final performance of the night and she blew everyone away.
